Great places and Restaurants to eat around Skegness.
This is our 8th trip to Butlins, Skegness and we love it. The saying 'Its not where you are, but who you are with' often rings true, however Butlins has a massive impact on the occasion. We went this year as a group of 11 adults and 11 children. Children ranging from 13 months to 12 years old. Everyone had a fantastic time trying new things. Where else can you have breakfast at 8am, watch World Cup Rugby in a Sports bar at 9am, go swimming, have lunch at a choice of several eateries, play mini golf, go in the arcades, watch a pantomime, play darts or pool, eat an all you can eat Evening meal then watch a show with beers!
Every day is action packed. We swam twice, played tennis, did pumpkin carving, laserquest, went on ninebots (segways), did a Halloween trail and were given sweets, held a snake in the reptile show, went to the funfair.
Most of this is part of the package, but some do charge. For around £35pp per day we cannot complain.
Accommodation was great. We have Silver rooms which have a double room, a twin room and a shower/WC. Each room had a tv, new carpets, bedding and coffee/tea/kettle. We have booked on resort for next year as you get discounts by booking this way. What's not to like?
this was our 2nd visit and it was just as good as the 1st stay. We again stayed in a silver room, as I added in my last review the bathroom is in a drastic need of an update, looked shabby and there were stains on the floor. food choice in premium dining was again excellent and of really good quality. entertainment was great however some of the shows we wanted to watch overlapped which was disappointing. my son loved the pool and enjoyed the different slides. booked again on site for next year, would have liked a different room option without a kitchen but there are only standard and silver options. see you next year!
