The West Somerset Steam Railway terminates on the sea front and runs past the Butlins site. Vintage Steam and Diesel Trains run daily throughout the main holiday season and on certain other days throughout the rest of the year. On selected days in the Summer period there is a special through service from Bristol Temple Meads station, full details of this are in the Butlins brochure and website. Minehead is at the foot of Exmoor and on the edge of "Loma Doone' country, itself well worth exploring, in all there's plenty to do on and off the site.
